1. Place window in full up position to keep it outta' the way2. Remove door panel. Find and remove all the screws securing the door panel (look carefully, they like to hide). Check under innocent looking plastic covers for screws. You will need to remove the window crank (manual) or switch assembly (electric windows). The panel will also be fastened with plastic fasteners here and there. Pop them off carefully. If you ruin some of them during removal you can get new plastic fasteners at an auto parts store.3. You can now access the bolts holding the mirror assembly on. Remove them. Ta-dah! Mirror assembly is loose! Disconnect plug.4. Install new mirror, hook up cable (make sure it is routed correctly through the door frame) and re-attach with the mirror mount bolts.5. Re-install door panel.6. Congradulate yourself for saving a billion bucks by doing it yourself.***This is a generic step by step. Consult an experienced friend or parts manual if in doubt

Well yes it is generice on an accord you don't have to remove the door card or panel as you call it. There is a black triangle of plastic that covers the inside of the door where the mirror mounts. Remove the phillips head screw from this trim piece and gently lift up and pry at the same time. Recessed into the door frame is the plug for the power mirror and the three 10 mm head bolts that secure it. unhook the plugs and remove the three bolts. installation is reverse.
