Default What is better?

I snowboard. I need a car that will get me up to the mountains which are about 3-4 hours away. Would a Honda civic be better or a honda accord? I would probably get a 1994-1998. Anywhere in that age range.

I've had both, and in that range.... either is great, very reliable. Civic is a little more fuel efficient, the flip side of that is it is also a bit smaller. If you need more room for equipment etc. the Accord might be better. Its fuel economy is really only slightly less.

These 2 models are almost the same. The Accord is a bit bigger and heavier. I would recommend getting new M&S tires at the beginning of the snow season unless the roads never have snow on them.

They are both basically the same car with the Accord being a little bigger (and more powerful engine). But being you are looking for a car with around 10 years, I would say that you should pick the one you can find in better shape and price. In other words, you should be more concerned with the specific car you are buying and not so much on the model.Anyway, both will probably suit your transportation needs as long as you are aware they are sedans and not off roads.

get a late model accord, you can actually fit a snowboard inside with the passenger and rear seats folded down

either one would be pretty much the same, except for power-the accords have a bigger engine displacement.in those years, anyway.if you can,you might consider a crv or element as an alternative.(four wheel drive would be better) the crv strarted production in late 97 so you can find one affordable if you want to.that's the way I would go. still get good gas mileage, better for your porpose.....

The Accord is obviously a little upscale of its Civic sibling, that and marginally bigger inside and out. Consider a CRV if you regularly head for the mountains in winter. AWD is worth every penny when there's snow on the ground. If you're not dead set on a Honda, consider a Subaru - all their models are AWD. I've owned both an Accord and a Legacy - good cars both.
