I've owned 2 different civics and both have had problems with the low beams being non-existant. I have good vision, I keep the car and the lenses clean, I've even tried replacing the bulbs and re-aiming them. I went to 2 seperate dealerships and they said everything was fine. I thought I was going crazy until many of my friends and family noticed it too while they were in my car. I have to constanly drive around my with my high beams on, pissing off everyone in the opposing lane. I'm at the point of considering buying aftermarket high intensity bulbs which I'm constantly told are illegal in my area.So to save my sanity, do any other civic owners have this problem?

The inside of the lenses may be the problem. the auto supply will have lexan polish which should take care of that if thats the case.

I don't have a Civic, so I don't know about it specifically, but after you said you replaced the bulbs and re-aiming them, the first thing I thought of was voltage. You said teh dealership checked it out, but you might try checking the voltage going to the lamps.

From what you describe, it appears that you have a poor ground.

i'd but the brightest bulbs i could find. how would anyone ever know if they werent the originals. even if they went to all the trouble to determine that they had been changed, the worst they would do is make you change them back. i had a 96 blazer that had headlights that seemed non existant. finally i cranked up the level past the recommended height...it helped some, and i never got flashed from oncomming cars. i finally traded it off for a 2000 silverado and that fixed the problem. they are the best headlights i have ever had in any vehicle, bar none.

go to matrixracing.com and get aftermarket projector head lights then get HID cost bout 300 but ur getting legal vision thas alot brighter and looks like a beamer from far away nice color great vision

I have a Civic and know exactly what you mean. To remedy thisclean the inside of the lenses or just replace the covers. It worked for us.
