Forgive my ignorance, but isn;t the speed limit on major roads and motorways 70mph? Why do you need it to go at 50mph above the speed limit? wanting to lose your licence a lot quicker too? SPEED KILLS

What makes you think a 'limiter' is fitted?Limiters are fitted to diesel engines to stop them over revving. The only possibility of getting higher speed out of it is to alter the engine managment chip if one is fitted

Is this car in Japan? You could check. I dont know bout the hondas, but on the Nissan (Silvia's) there was a 2 wire sensor on the transmition near the rear. On the Nissan cutting this (open) made the computer think your are not moving. Thus the computer would not cut the power to the fuel pump ever.

Question - What RPM is your engine at when doing this speed? Perhaps the gearing is pitched a little short, to ensure the car gets up there quickly, but it might not be able to go any faster, if your revs are at the red zone on the tachometer. Is it a VTEC engine? If so, I'd ask if the VTEC system is engaging properly.
