the major problem is that you can't afford a good car

also check in side the rear wheel wells the prelude is notorius for rusting out there the one i had also had a bad balancer shaft seal that i replaced everything else first just to find out that it was a $4 part and ended up costing over $400 in all new gaskets and seals

My parents have owned 4 Hondas and only had to change the oil regularly and put tires on one of them. They are the most dependable cars and hold their value! Honestly, I wouldn't worry, especially if you are buying it from the original owner. Have fun. The Preludes are sharp looking cars!

as long as the car wasn't abused and depending on how many miles on it it shouldn't be that bad, i have a friend with a 97 honda prelude and it has about 200,000 thousand miles on it, oil changed every 3,000 miles, tire's rotated every oil change, freon or what ever charged every summer, diagnostics ran on it every 2 years and the thing runs like brand new, and looks great still, we took it to a dealership about a month ago and he said that its worth almost what it was brand new....there great strong car if u take care of them.....
