If I have a decent car - say a Honda Accordand I have to drive approx. 15 miles to work 5 days a week, 15 miles back home + any driving to school, shopping, etc.. So let's say I am driving 50 miles a day - how much will that cost for gas approx.?I live in California and gas is approx. $3.50 right now. Just an estimate - you don't have to be too specific - it's just I have no idea if 50 miles means $5 or if it means $50 .. How many miles would a 1998 Honda Accord get per gallon?

an Accord should get 25mpg or so

it will be about $35 a week. thats pretty good. my truck only gets 8 miles per gallon

if your commute is only 15 miles you wont be getting the best mileage for the car but 25 is a safe estimate, and at 3.50 that makes 7 bucks a day 35 bucks a week 140 a month 1680 per year but it will be higher next week and you'll need to recalculate

hey it would cost you 8.75$ a day for city traffic conditions...and 7$ a day for highway conditions i.e if u travel for 50 miles a day....average of city and highway conditions wud be 7.875$ a day...actually it wud turn out to be a little less expensive than the info i have given......

iI believe they was estimated at 34 mpg, but it also depends on your driving habits like, how much stop and go in traffic,bumper to bumper, verses highway driving, which will use less fuel. it really depends on the way you drive and how much traffic congestion there is . plus if you run a/c that takes away also. so if you have a 16 gallon tank and you get 34 mpg. 34x16=544 miles total on tank full, that is estimated, simple form, $3.50x16=$56. or about $5.25 a day

I agree with most of the answers here. Keep in mind that there are two types of Accords. 4 cylinder and 6 cylindermy 6 cylinder gets about 23 in city and 28 hwy. It is a 98' and has over 168,000!Hope that helps.
