At Sears if you buy the shocks there the installation is free. struts will cost around $200.00

Honda Civic's have Independent Suspension. The front of the car has Struts (2) and the rear Shocks (2). A good way to test which one has gone bad is first a visual inspection (make sure tires are all at proper pressure) Does one side of the car lean? If so "rock" the corner that is suspect. If it doesn't rock back or push back then it's blown. If it "floats" back and rocks for a few seconds then it's blown. You should feel firm pressure pushing back briefly. The struts are more expensive than the shocks. Expect to pay between $70-$120 for good replacements. Including labor it shouldn't be more than $600 to replace all four. The better question for you is why are all four of your shocks/struts blown? Been muddin, off-roading? It's very rare that all four are blown on a car at the same time, none the less on a car that's 4 years old. If you want to save some $$$ go on ebay and buy some OEM units and have the mechanic install those. I highly recommend this guy>>http://stores.ebay.com/NormReevesTemecula-com-Parts He owns a honda dealership and will sell you original honda genuine parts at very good prices. You might need to email him with a request if it's not available in the store.

Replacing shocks takes about 4 hours labor. And mechaics in my area charges about $95/hr. So smart move is spend some $ and get quality shocks that would last 100K miles.

It depends on what you want. If you want OEM parts they are always expensive. If you are okay with aftermarket shocks and struts you may look into OMNI, my boyfriend purchased some for his car and his car isn't bouncy at all its alot smoother then mine which is stock. The type he bought ran him $800 for all, but that is because his are adjustable so when he goes to the track to drag he can raise them to accommadate his slicks.
