Default my 97 accord accelerates slow?

when i step my gas pedal, it takes time to speed up. i use premium gas and use synthetic oil. how do i get my car to increase acceleration. (like v6 cars).

Catalytic converter is cloged. You will have to replace it.

it shouldn't be the Cat cause if clog, it won't go any futher after a while and your car will get over heat by exhaust not exiting fast enought. What I think is that you should check if there is a problem with camshaft, header, and other engine bay stuff. But It also depents on how u really drive your car in the pass. Good luck and start changing little stuff first.

get a new car other than a honda...hate to break it to you but hondas are slow...

Its a HONDA - what do you expect.BTW - Premium gas does nothing for your car.
