Honda makes nice vehicles, so sure, the Pilot is a good one. I personally just bought a CR-V instead, because they are a bit more maneuverable and Honda has a dealer incentive that reduced the price by $750. But if you need 8-passenger seating, which the Pilot offers, you really won't go wrong with one.Good luck!!

It is too prone to damage underneath. The new Toyota RAV4 is bigger and built much more sturdy. If you go off a curb wrong in the pilot you could damage the A-arms or something. I dont like the idea of having fischer-price components under my car.

All Honda's are great vehicles. My next vehicle will be a Pilot. The Pilot is Honda's first midsized SUV. It debuted as a 2003 model and became an immediate success. According to CNW Market Research, it remains one of the top-selling models in its class, thanks, no doubt, to a lower ride height than most truck-based SUVs, sophisticated ride and handling and bullet-proof Honda reliability (Consumer Reports rates it "much better than average").The Pilot scores five out of five stars on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's side and frontal crash tests and four out of five on its rollover test.
