well, honda does stand for How Odd No Damn Acceleration... so try this, buy a dodge neon and a 20ft tow cable, then attach the tow cable to the front of the civic and to the rear of the neon, take off in the neon with the civic in neutral.. there you go

Wow what a bunch of idiots we have here. Go for a SRI or CAI first, followed by some headers and a catback. Also might want to flash your ECU (Hondata).

I would leave your car stock. Civics along with almost all the cars in Honda's lineup, were not meant to go fast. They handle well, are reliable, and get from a to b with great gas mileage. If you are going to invest money in a car to make it 'take off' faster, invest in something meant to do it. Even with all the bolt-ons you can think of, a clutch, and reground camshafts, it will still be slow as hell. Besides, ricing out civics and other economy cars is old and tacky. Trust me, i have a 98' civic ex with a five speed and its slow as f*ck. I leave it bone stock and drive my stroked silverado for fast take-offs.

A turbo or supercharger with intercooler and accessories. Lighter rims, sticker tires. Blow any stock Mustang in the weeds. About 5 to 7 pounds of boost on a stock motor, any more and you will be blowing your motor in the weeds.
