I have checked the fuel pump relays by the book. I also took the cover off of them and checked the simply made relay for damage ect. they are as perfect as new yet the fuel pump does not always come on. If you wait a while or turn the ignition switch a lot of times. it will eventuly come on and the car will start imediatly. does any one know the cure for this

If your check on the relay rules it out, I would think the ignition switch is your next most logical culprit... Your service manual gives you wiring diagrams and locations of connections throughout the car... "by the book"... does that mean you have one? www.helminc.com
