I want to add cruise control functionality to my Honda Civic DX it has the dummy buttons and all is it safe/possible to do it myself?

There are aftermarket kits available. I bought a 02 Lancer that had one. It went out after about 6 months.

Buy a newer model with it already installed at the factory. Add on cruise control will not be as safe and may not turn off when you want it to and could cause a terrible crash killing many women and children not to mention property damage including. but not limited to the car itself causing you to have to purchase a new car anyway. It's a sad thing to have happen in America.

It depends on your mechanical ability.They make a kit to add it on.I would recommed taking it to a shop and having them do it as it could be very dangerous if something went wrong.
