its leaking under the passanger side under the dash board.

Are you sure its not the heater core? If not the heater core then the AC drain is clogged.Take it to a repair shop.

Evaporator in the heater/ac assembly has a drain tube that carries away the excess condensation that forms when the ac is operative and your in a humid environment. After several years it's not uncommon for this drain tube to plug up with crap...You might look under the car for a small rubber drain hose (usually on the pax side) and insert a flexible wire (ie coat hanger)up the drain....otherwise the evaporator and blower assy must be removed and cleaned out.Hope this helpsLikely your heater core is fine....unless whats coming our is coolant,,,and that would be pretty distinguishable from water.

the drain for the evaoporator box is plugged and needs cleared if you look under the hood on the firewall on the right\middle you should see a little rubber hose that sticks out that isnt attached to anything it is about 1/2 inch diameter pull it off and clean it out if it isnt plugged then you should carefully try to fish a bent coathanger or something up the drain tube

The drain that comes out of the fire wall for the evaporator core is plugged, it should be a rubber nipple on the passenger side of the engine compartment, free it up and it will work fine.The drain is there because A/C pulls moister out of the air then drains out onto the ground, if it is plugged it will leave a puddle on the pass side floor mat.

if you a/c drain tub that goes to the out side of the car has come off then it will leak its the condensation that builds up on the core and i you might want to check to be safe that it is not the heater core keep a good check on you water level in the radiator... oh yeah the vent that lets the water go to the out side of the car you can check at the fire wall to see if that rubber is gone... good luck if you need anymore help hit me up on my email i am a Honda tech

its normal for water to condense and leak from the evaporator. it sounds like the drain hose has come off the evaporator housing and/or the housing itself is leaking.

Mazda's do the same thing, its probably the little tube that isnt fitted for cost savings. put a piece of hose on it about 2" long and problems solved (If you have a Protege you probably have rear footwell full of water)
