Default How reliable is the 1997 R reg honda civic 1.4i?

What is the best way to service it.....By every 5000 miles or every year.

The best way to service it is to have synthetic oil put in and change it every 3000 - 5000 miles, have it tuned up every year, and just do regular maintenance (have tires and brakes checked). Honda's are VERY reliable with regular service.
