when should i press it and what is it for?is it the same thing as overdrive?

generally when your bewting on the car this button provides less tire spin when stomping on it

i believe the sport button is for better torque, it changes the way the automatic transmission shifts, and of course, it uses more gas, complete opposite from overdrive.

Its the same thing. The only diffrence is that you use the sport when you are entering a freeway or when your going at about 5x RPMS but dont use it in the street.

I was wondering the same thing for the longest time, till I had my transmission swapped, and was talking to the mechanic. It is bascily what everyone else said, it just changes the shift points of the transmission.... that's really it. It doesn't really even increase the fuel, the rev is just a result of it downshifting when you slam on the gas. I have not, however, been able to figure out what exactly it changes the shift points too. Some-times it's about 5,000 rpm, but other-times it's not untill it red-lines, but yeah, that's really all it does.(Try not to drive with it on, cuz it'll burn up your gas, and it's uncomfortable to drive with, but I'd recommend using it when you are trying to pass a car, or get infront of some traffic at a stop light.)
