Which would you buy; The S2000 from Honda or the Mazda Miata?

S2000 will whip the Miata. But you'll pay for it. You can get 2 Miata's for the price of an S2000

Im a japanese and live there. It's easy. if you decide just by looking, you can decide. and if you choose AT, you must choose Miata.Which is faster?? S2000 is faster than Miata in straight but it's not bigl difference of speed 'cause S2000 has better engine but Miata is lighter weight than S2000. remember its in case of straight speed. If you are really good at driving like a racer S2000 is faster but if you are not good like a racer Miata is much faster than S2000. 99% of people can drive faster with Miata than S2000.Because Miata has anti spining system(DSC), so it can help to drive at high-speed in the corner. Amature driver cant handle all the potencial of S2000 'cause it has few electric-drive assistance.you must learn driving technique siriously from professional if you wanna drive faster with S2000 than Miata.I think S2000 is the closest to racing car in market so it's really speciality car and not good for non-expert. This is informal information but S2000 body system was desinged by Masda. Honda doesnt have FR shystem.Mazda cars has the best sports car technology except engine.

they are very, very different cars. The similarites end at having 4 wheels and a convertible top.The s2000 is a much higher performance vehicle than the miata. Its more about the extreme drving experience. The miata is a great driver, but at a more leisurely pace, and at a much lower price.

while both have similer attributtes the real question needs to be, how hard core are you? the honda is considerably more powerful and has greater handeling capabilities, at the edge it is potentialy less forgiving than the miata, the mazda is more of a M.G. B. done right everywhere the brits went wrong. but still keeping the essence of what we all loved about the brit crap. the miata can be made awesome with superchargers cams chips and so forth, and so can the honda. if everything is to be left stock i would probably pick the honda ,if i planned to play [of corse i would] i'd pick the miata. either should be purchased with optional removable hard tops.[ this extends the life of the soft top and allows for more use in winter time. short wheel base cars are easier to spin on snow and ice but with experiance and caution both cars are docile and managable , although a cheepo winter beater is your best defense if you live in a snow/rust zone.HAVE FUN
