Default can anyone tell me what are some pros and cons of having a 1990 honda accord coupe?

i just recently got one and only paid 350.00 for it at an auction.it only has 170,000 miles on it and is in pretty good condition with the exception of the little rust over the rear wheel wells which seems to plauge all hondas form that era. i only drove it once and already i love it to death. i will park my 2001 car that i have and drive this because its better on gas.

Con: The fact that it is a 1990 Honda. Pro: Going by what you said about the car, you will probably be looking to buy another car real soon and you can get yourself a real car. How about something American that might last?

As with any import, the Honda is a good long-lasting vehicle. The engine and body are built to last. That's the good news. And, you paid very little for it considering the low mileage (I would have a licensed mechanic check that odometer to make sure no one has fiddled with it), and it's not too old.The bad news is that the parts for imports are expensive. You can find some parts at auto salvage/junk yards if you're lucky, but mostly you have to go straight to the manufacturer and pay top dollar for the parts.

My 1988 Honda Accord started burning oil. So you may want to check the oil level at fill-ups and add a little bit if you're low. Also, check to make sure the timing belt has been changed...they usually last about 80,000 miles, so the second one may need to be changed by now. I
