Hondas are a great vehicle and, so far, all of them whether they come from Japan or North America, seem to have the same outstanding quality. In fact, I am proud to buy American Hondas... those plants are putting American people to work! The '90 Prelude I am driving now was made in Canada and is going strong with 230,000 miles! If it weren't for Texas trucks not being able to see it in a parking lot, even the body would be perfect!

The quality seems to be the same across the board on the Hondas. If you want to know where the car was acutally made look at the VIN number on the dash in the windshield. If it starts with a 1 made in the USAa 2 means CanadaJ means Japan.Certain models were only made in Japan and more of the Civics were Canadian made.

As the owner of two hondas myself and having family that has owned several models throughout the years, I can definately say that across the board cars are becoming more reliable and with superior quality, no matter where they come from. With that said, even with the higher prices commanded (generally speaking) to purchase a comparable Honda to say a Ford, Dodge, Chevy, etc... or even the Korean brands of Kia and Hyundai, the Honda is by far the best quality no matter where it's built. It's in the design from day one and that dedication to perfection shows in every detail of any Honda, base model or loaded up. By the way, I also want to point out that whether it's Honda, Chevy, or Hyundai, all these companies employ Americans and provide jobs and add to this country's wealth as well as providing one of the best driving forces that help consumers: Competition. If it wasn't for the gas crisis of the 70's and the superior quality of Japanese imports as compared to American gas-guzzling cars that were so poorly built, American car manufacturers would have continued to build without actually improving because of a lack of competition.

| Carwashing has always seemed an American tradition. The first Model-T Ford owners undoubtedly made sure their cars were sparkling before pulling up to church on Sunday. And who could forget Rose Royce's platinum album, Car Wash, titled after their hi | tomn | Honda 2 | 1 | 02 Apr 2006 12:41 pm |
