Default Should I have the head of my engine resurfaced if it only has 80,000 miles?

Need a valve job because timing belt broke.

it would be wise to mill the head, even if it is only a few thousands. It will raise the compression just a little, may produce more power as well. 80k is a lot of miles, unless the car was strictly highway only. Did you bend a valve? Belt broke while you were driving it, right? You need to replace the valve(s), so you should play it safe, the head is probably aluminum and they do warp slightly.

They will plane the head when they do a valve job.You do not need to plane the engine block.Next time be sure to change the timing belt and 60K Civics bend the valves every time.

Yaes, might as well while it's off. I'll bet you wont forget the belt next time.
