Default Which of these cars is the best Acura or Honda?

I'm looking to buy a car, but I want to buy the best. I'm a teenager so I need some help with the choice.

To be honest it does not really matteras they are both Honda products. Acura is built by HOnda on many of the same assembly lines. Save the Money and get a Honda. Same quality.

Acura is Honda. Acura is only available in North America and was meant to be upper class from Honda, like the Accord in Europe is the TSX here. If you can afford an Acura, go for an RSX, TSX or TL....But the new Civic Si is pretty zippy too. The best way to decide is to take them out on a test drive...

You can't go wrong with either one. As has been said, Acura and Honda are the same company, so quality will be equal. That said, these are the things I'd consider:1) What car do I really want? If you're going to get a stripped down Civic, nothing in Acura's line is going to be comparable. But if you're looking at a loaded Civic, a base RSX might be competitive price-wise. If that's the case, read on to #2.2) You'll be treated better by the Acura dealer, both when you purchase and when you service the car. From Acura's website, "In addition to the Acura 4-year/50,000-mile limited vehicle warranty and the 6-year/70,000 mile limited powertrain warranty, TLC includes 24-hour nationwide emergency and travel services, roadside assistance, Acura Concierge Service, and more. This collection of special services and privileges is available exclusively for Acura owners, to help ensure your long term driving and ownership satisfaction."Other premium car manufacturers offer things like free service, and there is a value to the better treatment high end dealers provide. 3) Also consider the cost of insurance. If you're in a city, the cost of insuring a Honda can be prohibitive (because of theft). If you know the insurance company you're going to use, call them and get quotes for all the cars you're considering. It seems counter-intuitive, but I have a friend who bought an Acura because he couldn't afford insurance on a Honda.

Acura is a Honda company. They're pretty much the same engines & quality. Acura was just some marketing ploy in the US to get ppl to buy Honda products who other wise would not because they didn't want the "thrifty" image that's associated w/Honda.Since you're a teenager, it's obvious that you aren't going to have a lot of money in your budge to work with (unless you're really lucky LOL) & chances are you're the one buying your own car. Acura's like I said are the same as Honda's. Same company & many have the same engines as other models. Anyway, for budget, but to also get more bang for your buck all around, I would stick w/getting a Honda for several reasons. One, most Acura's cost more w/insurance & 2, Honda's are cheaper to buy, finance & get parts for. If you're lucky enough to have someone co-sign for you to get a new or newer car, I really recommend getting a 2005, or 2006 Honda Civic Si. It's fast, it looks good, has Honda motor quality reliability, has a high safety rating & is easy on gas. FYI, the '06 Civic Si has been rated as the yr's top car by JD Power & Associates, as a matter of fact, Honda took home their top awards in ALL automotive catagories. However, if you're not as fortunate & have to go for something older, avoid Civic's from the 80's & early 90's (before '93) like the plague. There are way to many compression issues, etc w/the engines. Not to say Honda isn't great, but those just weren't the best yrs for that model car. It's not coincidental that after '93 Honda scrapped the old body design & went w/something fresh & came up w/a whole new series engine to put in them.If you DO decide on getting a Honda Civic, I recommend getting the Civic EX or Si, '94 on up (newer). Those were the models w/the most goodies, like cruise, power windows, some came w/ABS & both have VTEC, plus parts are easy to come by & they happen to be some of the best yrs for the Civic to date.Best of luck & happy car hunting!

They are both excellent, and you can't go wrong with either one, so get the one that suits you best. Acuras are usually a little sportier, but als a little more expensive, and most of them take premium fuel (whereas Hondas do not).Good Luck.
