CE/LE/X, Honda Civic 1997? which would you consider ideal for a first timer?

The honda, just don't do ANYTHING to the outside until you have 5K on the engine parts, or you'll be shot down, your car will be keyed and yes, you will be called a "ricer". Be careful with Hondas they are a tough responsibility.

If It were me I'd pick the Toyota Camry, it's a great car, but is it a sedan model? I've got a CIVIC and it's known to be a teen car but if you want to drive with attitude, it's all relative.

Avoid the Daewoo like the plague. You'll be ok with either the Camry or the Civic, the Civic gets better fuel economy...

Camry is a great choice, but very conservative and a boring style...more "family oriented". I just sold my 1998 civic..had 17" rims, a kicking stereo, and other asthetic mods on it..a head turner with the "kids" and sold it in an instant. (I am 40's). Loved it..great on gas, just didn't want a stick anymore. Daewoo who???not a chance.

I will pick toyota camry instead not only bec. it can be more tough on the road but also i heard that there are some Daewoo recalls way back then so that only proves that daewoo is not that established as toyota.
