is it the spring in the device itself? if so, you may need to contact the manufacturer. other than that, you can use velcro hook and loop tape. i've done this before! works wonders and it doesn't look as bad as duct tape!

Any salvage yard should have a Civic visor to fit your needs. It should only be 2 phillips head screws holding it in, and if you have a lighted vanity mirror, its just a single wire positive lead wire, as the screws ground the current into the body.
