...that it is 2.2lt. I know that Honda Odyssey ex models have vtec and Odyssey lx models do not . How is it with Isuzu?

Isuzu dose not make the Vtec motor only Honda in 1996 honda bough the Isuzu and put on Honda badges, so it is an Isuzu. The Isuzu came with either a 2.2L 4 cyl or a 3.2 V6

The Isuzu Oasis (1995-1998) is a regadged Honda Odyssey. The Odyssey came with a 2.2L VTEC inline 4 of roughly 145-150hp, the SAME ENGINE AS IN THE 94-97 EX AND SE MODEL ACCORDS. The 2nd generation of Odyssey (1999-2005) has a 3.2L VTEC V6 (210-240hp). If its bolt-on performance for your 95-98 Odyssey/Oasis you seek, check the 94-97 Accord performance section of any aftermarket parts slinger. An H22 or H23 will drop in perfectly with little modification, and will even bolt directly to the existing transmission.
