Default What with Civics?

I really can't seem to understand the fascination with civics. To me all they are, are gas sippers. Every Civic that tried to run against my Sentra lost. Then I got beaten by a Ford probe, you belive thatAnywhen, I would like to know why the average teen would invest in a Civic to tune, when there are more cars such as the Sentra with more horse power. Please consider this: i'm refering to Sentras within the range of 1991-1993 and Civics within the range of 1991-1995.

well yes there are a lot of other cars out there with more power. civic good question the only thing i can think of is that if you are loOKing for aftermarket parts on a civic there is a large number of things for it and the prices are cheap so basically you have a cheap car cheap parts and ok gas millage. guess it isn't that stupid after you think about it. better then spending 50,000 on a retarded supra!

Well i have a civic of my own and to tell you the truth if i was to buy another car i wouldn't!!! Tell you why they are pretty economical cars. I know there are cars like teh sentra that are about the same in fuel effienincy. But the greatest thing about having a Civic is that to hook it up its so much cheaper then any other car in the market. Civic's are cheap in horses like u mentioned but car enthuists look to swap out that piece of crap. Like myself... When it comes to exterior upgrades there are so many things that can be put on this bad boy. Besides you've probably never ran against a real civic with a gsr swap in it

i'm a huge fan of both nissan and honda.i love civics (especially the type r) and sentras(especially the se-r).but the civic is a car that is highly modifyable.there are endless performance parts and body kits for these.it's like they come up with something everyday for those cars.they are excellent tuners..but i still rather a 91-93 accord over the civic though.but the sentra is definitely faster than a civic and the engine is highly tunable and strong and the six speed is a blast.besides any company who could make an engine like an rb26dett is a company that i would definitely support!!!!!!

The EF-EG Civics are easier to tune, but the 1991-1993 Sentras (especially the SR20DE-equipped ones) require a careful balance of blueprinting.

the fact is, both of these cars are slow. 95% of the 'riced out' civics you see on the road have no real mods that extend outside intake and exhaust, rims, stickers, body kits. these arent performance mods a civic ex makes about 127hp stock. how much do you really expect to get out of it? The fact is, without some type of forced induction or spray, these honda kids won't be anywhere near sports car territory. They are great for what they are INTENDED for; good gas mileage and reliability.
