i have a 1991 honda accord

Take of the air filter. if it has a carb, it will have a unit will most likely two holes in it. If it's tbi it'll One large hole with two injectors in it. If it efi, it'll have an injector for each cylinder. Or you could read the owners manual.

since 1990 Honda went to fuel injection, which basically was mandated for emissions and fuel standards.a carburator will have an air cleaner housing on top of it, and when you remove it, you will be able to see the carb. butterfly valves easily. if you ahve TBI, or throttle body injection, the TBI looks like a carb, except it has 1-4 injectors pointing downward into the tbi throat.also, carbs have lots of rubber hoses connecting to them. an EFI vehicle usually has the air filter separated from the engine block. if you have a 6 cylinder car, you have 6 fuel injectors and the car comptuer fires each injector according to its programming. (i.e. idling, wide open throttle, load, etc..).
