the engine is a type-r i-v tech 220hp....the car is a 1999 honda civic hatchback..

Yes . but u'll need some stuff to make it fit properly. A lot of people did it already. And it's hella fast

The answer is yes and it will be fast. But please don't do it. The civic hatch in Japan has B ser. engine, keep the tradition, and the b ser. is better in quality than the k ser. B18 200hp about $5k, yet K20 220hp $4k why?

Ok.Ok. Ok.ITS SPELLED VTEC. NO H. THERE IS NO H IN VTEC. NO DASH EITHER.But, to answer your question - yes, it should fit. I helped put a K20 in a 89 CRX.

yes ive seen it done with a 2.2vtec prelude engine into a civic hatch and that engine was 22obhp but you might have to remove the power steering to make room
