Most cars you remove the inner door panel to get to the window track. Never heard or removing the outside shell of the door to do this. You can remove the inner door panel with a flat think screwdriver, but it's nicer if you get a door panel removal tool to prevent messing up the inner door panel.1) Some door panels also have a screw or two hidden in them. Remove these. Look closely for "button" type covers over screws.2. Remove all the items on the door panel. The thing you pull on to close the door. If you have manual windows you'll need a tool to remove the manual window roller too. Some say you can do it with a good rag, but I've been minimally successful. Tool is much easier.3. Use tool to pry around the door panel. (Left, right and bottom) 4. Push up since door panel is usually hooked on the upper part of the door. You should be able to see the window tracks now. Remove accordingly. If you have electrical stuff, use caution. Easy to lose a finger if you don't know what you're doing.

If you're unsure of how to do something, make sure you learn enough about it before you attempt it. You'll end up breaking something and then have to pay more to have it fixed.
