Honda Car Forum

We love Honda. I have owned a 86 Civic, a 90 Accord and currently a 97 Civic. Great gas mileage and very dependable. Repairs are always going to be more expensive than american made cars, but, they certianly aint in the shop as often. We are currently in the market for a mini-van. I really want to go Honda. The newest ones are really expensive. I really think I can get by with a used Oddesey. Does anyone recommend a good year? To stay away from or defenitly to buy? If so... why? Is there a better choice than Honda? I'd like to stay under 20,000.

um my cousin has a 2000? or 2001...but yeah...their left door it was automated and it broke...also the A/C thing broke off...lots of repairs...stay with the newer models...ever look at the Element?! LOTS OF FUN TO DRIVE...gas is eh...holds about 11 gallons and i get about 200 miles on a full tank locally

I presently own a 2003 Odyssey EX-L with about 65k on it. I purchased the car new late in 2002. The mini-van has an excellent car-like driving feel to it. The Odyssey is very comfortable and I am very happy with it, does well in city driving, daily Long Island Expressway commuting and does exceptionally well on long interstate road trips. Now the other side, Not happy with the fuel efficiency, even before this gas crisis this 6 cyl. liked to imbibe. Not happy with the quality of the paint, seems to get a lot more road chips than my other vehicles. And lastly, had to replace the 4 original tires before 40k miles. Other than that I will be purchasing a 2007 Odyssey when they come out.
