those things are a pain- if it is the one I am thinking of, the starter is on the firewall side of the engine- you have to get the thing up in the air high enough to get under and behind the engine- and do so without having it unstable and dangerous to work on- I'd leave that one to a shop.

well as a general rule of thumb all starters consist of two bolts and two to three little wires.......Any how being able to reach it maybe a problaim'o. I have a honda civic LX but any way older cars I know it was real easy to get to, now with my 05 civic it's a pain in the ars to get my big hands around any where under the hood...best bet have a friend or family member whom has over all car knowledge do it for you.......but if you attempt to do it your self I will advise one thing, disconect the car battery first, being that one of those 2 or 3 wires is a Power wire.
