I think it may. Good fuel economy, feels like a minivan. The back seats fold into the floor like a minivan. The price is pretty reasonable also.

I work at a dealer and we expect when gas goes over $3- it hasn't here in Idaho.... yet sales should be brisk for Fits and Civics both the top mileage cars.

I think so. I am in Germany right now, and the Jazz (German name for the fit) looks like a smaller version of the 02-05 civic Si but with all of the features mentioned by the previous answerer. I think we have to look at the success of the Scion line of Toyota made cars too...

yes and no. Until Americans get over their fascination with barrelling down the road in a three ton vehicle at ninety miles and hour and only person inside, sales won't be that great. Now if gas gets to the predicted high of $4 this summer, that might just change their minds. I believe that most Americans need to change their driving habits. I think it really dumb to see a person zip around me because I'm not going as fast as they want me to, only to come up beside them at the next stop light. If everyone would learn to drive sensibly, actually look at their mirrors once in a while, and come to the relization that that driving faster than everyone doesn't exatly get you to your destination sooner; that's when roads will be safer, and we'll get better gas mileage regardless of what we drive.

Yes, and damn near any japanese car for that matter. Toyota is currently the world leader in selling and producing cars and hondas are not far behind. Hondas are very fuel effecient cars that seldom break down. there are hondas that even have 300,000 miles on them and are still going strong. like mines it has 197,000 or something like that. oh yeah one more thing gas prices are gonna spike up so if you payed attention in economics class you'll figure the price of cars like Hondas will shoot up.
