I am looking to purchase a 2006 Honda Accord Coupe. Is there much of difference between the 4 and 6 cylnider engines?

no. besides a slight increase in power.

One picks up speed faster than the other. The 6 cylinder is faster, but also guzzles more gas than the 4 cylinder. Other than that, there is not much difference. My first Honda was a 6 cylinder. My current is a 4 cylinder (Accord Coupe).

OK i guess.. luxury with speed? but i still prefer the SIR engine. just plain speed... ^_^

160 horse power in 4 cyl. vs. 245 in V6. It makes sense to buy a car with higher mileage per gallon; all the 160 ponnies in 4 cyl. are worth it

THere is definately horse power difference. V6 puts out more. V4 or 4 cyclinder takes much less gas though. rest are options which u can get in any V4 or V6

along with the increase in horsepower and speed the other major difference is cost or repairs and routine maintenance

I You Wanna Get V6 I would suggest Get Hybrid Accord other wise you are gonna regret it.. Looking at the way gas prices are V6 hybrid is just as good as gasoline V6 but give you twice as much gas mileages...

Depends on how you define "much".4 cyclinder engine: 166 horsepower, 24 mpg in city/34 mpg in hwy (w/ automatic transmission).6 cyclinder engine: 244 horsepower, 20 mpg city/29 mpg hwy (w/ automatic).According to Consumersguide.com, a test 4 cyclinder automatic took 8.6 seconds to get from 0-60. The 6 cyclinder automatic took 7.0 seconds.And of course, the 6 cylinder version is quite a bit more expensive, though part of that is because the V6 model comes pretty much stocked, whereas you can get the 4 cyclinder model is with or without a lot of options.

Yes, the first is the price difference. and for the extra hp it isn't worth it. You also might want to look to see if the 6 cyle requires a higher octain gas or not
