According to Kelly Blue Book in my area a 2001 Accord 4D in good condition with the standard features goes for about $8690. Excellent condition is $9470 and fair condition is $7655

Go to the 'Kelly Bluebook' website to see the fair value. Sounds high to me, due to the milage.

Check Kelley Blue Book -- kbb.com. You can describe the car and its features and get a good idea what it should cost. But, having done that, you still probably don't know whether the engine had been properly maintained, particularly oil changes. My son has a Toyota with 180,000 miles on it and is running well, thanks at least in part, to frequent oil changes. Timing belt replacement is another unknown. The owners manual might be able to tell you how often it should be changed, but it won't tell you whether it needs changing now. Can you ask the previous owner?

If you bought it, why worry now? Time would be better spent having a mechanic to go over it.Good Luck

Its about average. I'd look for owner records on maintenance and service intervals.
