i wonder that as well. i think they have to make them smaller to get the good gas mileage so they're trying to make them look 'sleek' instead of just tiny and dumb.

because it costs more to design a car thatlooks and runs really good. its easier to just mess with theworking good part.

Well, not all hybrids cars are ugly. Some car makers make hybrids version of their regular gasoline version, and the hybrids version looks just like the regular version. For example, Ford Escape Hybrids, Lexus RX Hybrids, Toyota Camry Hybrids.

probably because they are made to be more aerodynamic

for the most part its due to them being air dynamic for less wind resistance, but now look at the honda civic hybrid you cant tell the difference from the regular civic, just the wheels are different and where the attenna is placed.

Apparently with gas averaging over 3 bucks a gallon, people aren't too worried about ugly anymore...
