91 Civic, 172K, Auto when cold shift from 1-2 grinds (sometimes), 2-3 slips (sometimes), when warm to full temp all ok. not the soomthest shifts but ok for 172K miles. This tends to happen when the temp is 50F or below. I am afraid to change the fluid cause I have heard that in older transmissions it is not good to do so, I do not know the last time it was changed. I was thinking MaxLife.
