how much cash do you have? ok basically, you can either upgrade the engine for more power, the transmission for less power loss to the wheels or lighten it by removing the sparetire rear seats, etc. that will help your acclereation as well as handling upgrades like suspension and brakes. for the engine, usually, people upgrade the exaust, the intake and the engine internals. so the exaust and the intake are the basics. the basic exaust is a cat back, and for a full exaust system, it would include hi-flo cat, headers, basicilly the whole exaust system. by upgrading it, you reduce back pressure increasing your performance. intake is usually a cold air intake. or upgraded manifold. this increases the amount of air that makes it into your engine and since more air means a larger explosion, more power. internals are like upgrading your pistons an cams but that is a little more complex an expensive. transmission is the most expensive, but an easy one is a short shifter on a manual trany car. it decreases the distance you have to move your arm ot shift so you have faster shifts. a flywheel is also good. it can reduce the amount of force required to turn the drive shaft. reducing the power that is required to run the trans. meaning more of it goes to your wheels. reducing weight is the easiest and cheapest. don't need to say more bout that. then you can alter your engine computer and increase your fuel flow but with gas prices these days you probably wont want to do that. and forced induction but thats for later. basic upgrades first
