It depends how much money you have, the more you pour into it the faster it will go. It aslo depends what kind of fast do you want, the straight line kind, or the kind that can go fast in corners. The easist way is to turbocharge the engine. Build the internals to handle the boost by replacing the piston, connecting rods, crankshaft and then lower the compression to handle the extra boost.Or change the engine to a larger displacement. For handling, an adjustable suspension will help as will better wider tires. There is so much to do, but in your caase, from the your question sounds, to make it go faster leanr how to frive better first. I have seen spec miatas with great drivers run circles on rich doctors with vipers and ferraris.

1 thing, what year is it? I would have the ecu chip taken out, put turbo in it, put in light weight windows with racing seats and a racing steering wheel, put in a freeflow air filter, and change the exhaust.Trade that riceburner in for an evo9

push it out the back of a plane, or tow it with a already fast car.

Attach a tow bar to the front and pull it with a Ford. I got mine over 100 mph that way.

how much cash do you have? ok basically, you can either upgrade the engine for more power, the transmission for less power loss to the wheels or lighten it by removing the sparetire rear seats, etc. that will help your acclereation as well as handling upgrades like suspension and brakes. for the engine, usually, people upgrade the exaust, the intake and the engine internals. so the exaust and the intake are the basics. the basic exaust is a cat back, and for a full exaust system, it would include hi-flo cat, headers, basicilly the whole exaust system. by upgrading it, you reduce back pressure increasing your performance. intake is usually a cold air intake. or upgraded manifold. this increases the amount of air that makes it into your engine and since more air means a larger explosion, more power. internals are like upgrading your pistons an cams but that is a little more complex an expensive. transmission is the most expensive, but an easy one is a short shifter on a manual trany car. it decreases the distance you have to move your arm ot shift so you have faster shifts. a flywheel is also good. it can reduce the amount of force required to turn the drive shaft. reducing the power that is required to run the trans. meaning more of it goes to your wheels. reducing weight is the easiest and cheapest. don't need to say more bout that. then you can alter your engine computer and increase your fuel flow but with gas prices these days you probably wont want to do that. and forced induction but thats for later. basic upgrades first
