I have a 1990 honda accord, the thermostat was bad and my boyfriend replaced it. after he finished, the car kept dying and restarted after switching it off. now, the car won't restart at all. i suspect he knocked something about while he was replacing the thermostat. could someone please tell me what might be the trouble? it was fine before that and I had the distributor and rotor replaced just 2 months ago.

Check and see if there is a ground wire that had been taken loose reattach the ground wire if it is. I had a civic and the ground wires were located on the valve cover the front of the car frame and one on the thermo housing If there is one not attatched the it can cause it not to start
