The Honda Pilot is reliable and large. It's based on the Honda Odyssey (but the older model, not the latest 3rd generation model) and is awd. It's a cheaper, larger Acura MDX. It is not an exciting car but it is reliable and safe. If you like it, there is no reason not to buy one, since it will hold its value relatively well and is easy to live with. If you don't need something quite so large, wait until the summer when the Acura RDX SUV comes out. It is smaller (5 passenger) but handles and drives like a sports sedan, with a turbocharged 4 cylinder engine which is more fuel efficient than the V6 in the pilot and makes the RDX quite a bit faster. If the space is important, you may want to consider the Odyssey. If you're not overly concerned with a macho image, the Odyssey is a far better people hauler, with better performance, interior space, and fuel economy. The only thing the Odyssey doesn't have is awd.

yea. there nice cars. but they defiantaly need to improve the gas milage. other tha that they r gr8 cars. so overall with the lousy gas milage i would say... no. but try the saturn vue if ur really lookin for an suv.they r basically the same. just a lot better (and i mean a lot) gas milage

I think if you don't mind driving such a popular car, it's an exceptional choice today. The thing simply is, Honda's kind of laid back, they don't look like they're competing. They're not doing Chevy's American Revolution, or Toyota's Moving Forward motive. They're out there to do their best, and that's the reason why Honda is so sophisticated.
