si is a trim level for the Honda Civic. Most cars come in different "trim levels" from a basic to a middle of the road to a luxury trim level. The Civic Si is the ultra high performance edition of the Honda Civic. In its current generation it features a 197 horsepowr four cylinder versus about 140 horsepower in the regular LX and EX models.

The SI is a trim level on the largely popular Civic. It is the sportiest trim, and signifies that it has a larger, more powerful motor and a stiffer suspension than the other models.

It's a trim levelCivic SiCivic RSetcetra...AND NOT AS SOMEONE SAID A HIGH PERFORMANCE MODEL.High performance models for Honda are Type-RsCivit Type-R was a hatch which had a 2 litre, 4 cylinder 197bhp engine. To my mind, the best hatch ever.
