Default Should I get the civic si, if I never drove stick?

It only comes in manual. I've never driven stick. For someone who is not into performance, and not a car fanatic, does it make sense getting a stick?

No. Not at all. I drive stick and I love it, but why would you buy a car like the Si if you are not a fanatic and into performance, just for looks? The Si is a fantastic car for three reasons. The six speed manual, the helical limited slip differential, and the engine. If you don't know what all three of those things are, don't get the car.Stick shift is only better than automatic in the hands of a skilled driver, and most people never learn properly. If you're not motivated because you don't like cars, you will hate it the very first day you learn and you roll backwards into another car on a freeway off ramp. The advantages of stick shift are primarily fuel economy and the ability to select gears to set up for corners, etc. However, with the current 7th generation Civic, the automatic is a 5 speed and is just as good as the stick in fuel economy.Honda offers other Civic coupes for people like yourself who want stylish, reliable transportation. They are even cheaper than the Si. Why waste the cash if you'll end up being a poser?
