Default Will stock struts be ok with 1.5 inch lowering springs on civic eg coupe?

1993 honda civic eg coupe, I wanna throw some eBay lowering springs on my stock struts but I'm only going 1.5 inches for my drop. Can the struts handle that or will they blow out prematurely? If so what the estimated time they will last under a slight drop like that?
