Default Turbo On Civic 00 Sedan?

Will my car act faster like climbing up hills , speed higher rpms. Yes I know I have an automatic and it's the same so don't lecture me. I was also wondering If I put turbo will my gas mileage be the same or would it change to a v6 from a 4 cylinder how does that work. Thank You!

since most of the power in a small civic D motor is up in the high RPM range you would benefit most from a small turbo. safely, you can use about 6-7 psi with factory internals and that should be ample, possibly a 25%-35% increase. a small turbo will spool up quicker so by the time it runs out of juice, the higher RPM of the D motor will suffice. you will get worse gas mileage though, but the civic already gets over 30 so you shouldn't worry at all.

i have personally seen people swap in accord V6 and acura TL V6 motors but the custom fabrication work makes the swap not worth it and you will not clear the hood with a motor that size. if you want power with gas mileage, swap in a B16 Si or B18 integra GSR motor
