Default Oil leak question regarding my 98 honda accord?

So I believe my mechanic changed my distributor ring or o ring I'm not sure which one it is to stop an oil leak. I was in a rush to work so i didn't ask him but on the way to work I noticed smoke coming from my engine and can smell the oil. I lift my hood up to check and I see oil in several places and it looked fresh. Is it because he didn't use degreaser to clean it or what is the case with that???

It could be that he used his dirty oily hand and touched places that get warm. Or just didnt use a funnel.

Well if you have a v6 accord I know the oil filter is on the left hand side if that was leaking you would see it there, but it's on the bottom of the engine so I don't think that's the problem, he probably just spilt some oil on your engine, go to autozone and get some super clean, it's in a purple bottle and spray it on the engine and let it sit for a second and hose it off, make sure you cover the distributer cap if it's not covered already, It should clean the oil off of your engine
