Do you mean freon, or refrigerant? You would use R12 on an older vehicle but yours should be 134. There is a sticker inside the engine compartment that will tell you for sure, but looking it up on the Honda site it says 134.

Crap-Mart, Auto Zone, Pep Boys will all have 134. Some with stop leak, added conditioner, etc.. Get a regular can of 134.

Honda-Tech is a good site to get answers and post questions: http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2957031

Good luck!

The A/C tech will put the right amount of R134a in the system; R134a was mandatory starting in 1994.

Don't use one of those kits on store shelves... they have destroyed countless compressors because the instructions are bogus. It is impossible to determine the proper charge with a gauge and even a few ounces of overcharge will spill out of the evaporator into the compressor, where it has the same effect that chewing on rocks has on teeth. Check out the unfortunate soul who learned the hard way how much damage those destructo kits can do, in the first source.

A professional A/C service is about $100, a compressor replacement on your Honda, with recharge, is about $800-$1200. An easy choice.
