Default 8th seat in 2006 Honda Odyssey stuck?

we have really never used the 8th seat in our 2006 Honda Odyssey. Now we want to, but the seat will not open. We have tried pulling the cloth tab thing but it still doesn't seem to open. Are we pulling the wrong tab? Is there some sort of button we are supposed to press that we are missing? or are we pulling the right tab and it is broken, if so is there a different way to open the seat? Please anwser quickly we nedd the seat by 12 tommorow.

The problem is with the seat cushion. It's pushing on the lock mechanism, not allowing it to move. Have someone push down at the top of the seat, as though you were closing it farther and pull the release tab. Once your helper gets off the seat back, it should pop open.
