Default Power door locks wont work in 98 civic coupe?

If the door lock actuator is bad in the driver side door of my car would that keep the passenger side actuator from locking that door as well? I have a aftermarket viper alarm and the alarm activates but doesnt lock the doors. I can manually lock the passenger door but the driver door i cannot manually lock. Thanks in advance.

If the driver's door lock solenoid is seized. it will not send the signal to the power door lock control unit to lock the other doors.
