They're famous for their reliability and longevity. As cars go they're not too bad. Good-handling, fun to drive, relatively comfortable, well-built. Not glamorous or anything, but a good, solid car. Toyota Corollas are also pretty good.

If you can then go for the Accord they tend to be more luxurious compared to civics

I agree with Mackin, the accord is a bit bigger and but has a bigger engine than the civic. civics and accords just don't die no matter what you do to them, they are good on gas, they basically never need to go to the shop, especially if you can do your own work. ITs realiable, cheap, good car. Not a beautiful car, but hey it gets you from here to there and they are pretty comfy I guess.

I wouldn't go for the Accord like the other guy said. Accords = bigger cars, for some reason need more repairs, and less gas mileage than a civic.

Go sit in a civic made in the last 5 years, the interior might impress you. They feel like they have more sporty interiors than Corvettes.

I know that comment might have made a lot of people mad, but look.

See, that feels very hightech and sporty.

No, they're not as fast as a Corvette, but parts will probably be cheaper and available at EVERY parts store on demand.

Also, these are LESS fancy that a civic. But maybe consider a Yaris or a Fit. Better gas mileage. EVEN CHEAPER parts. And the Yaris has TONS of interior compartments (I'm a foreclosure inspector, and I have a place to stick EACH bank's documents (a lot of banks FYI).

But a Yaris really won't impress anyone.

I personally wouldn't get ANY other car though. Every repair can EASILY be done by me, all the parts are soo tiny. Engine only weighs 100lbs. Lightest production engine :P

Also remember that civics are THE NUMBER ONE most customizable car in the world. From cosmetics to engine parts.

You can do anything to a civic, and it'll be cheaper, because someone has already done it and made parts for it :P
