Default 2013 Honda civic si ?

my brother just bought a 2013 Honda civic si















when he revs the engine it won't pass 4500 , is it governed ?















Please help ?

Um that's a weird answer and most likely have a mechanic look at it or get a tuned ecu

It has a sort of protection mechanism where the fuel cuts out from over-revving the engine in park / neutral. If you were to drive it you will likely get it to over that RPM as those VTEC engines come alive above 5000rpm. All the best.
