Default Honda si driving questions?

I bought a 2008 Honda Civic Si, this being my first manuel car, and when i drive with my friends they always get me to do things like dumping it and catching second, and really just using the full potential of the car. seeing as the si is built for a more speedy sporty drive then other civics, am i harming the car by doings things like this? if so how much?

YES, your ****ing up your car! I'm a 19 year old chick that drives a VW Jetta with a turbo and a stick. Dropping the clutch will eventfully do major damage. Your friends don't care what happens to your car, they wont pay for the repair.

Michelle's right, if you keep dumping your clutch then it's going to burn right up and you'll be in need of at least a few hundred for repairs. just because the Si is the top-of-the-line Civic doesn't mean that it can simply handle any abuse you throw at it, it's still a Civic. it's like the kid that won the special olympics. if you abuse it, it's going to cost you a shitload of money in the long run. when Honda, or virtually any car company builds a car, if they can save a few hundred dollars by making certain parts cheaper, then they're going to do it(the plastic, fake aluminum panels in your interior are a dead giveaway).
