Default I want to cut my honda camshaft any advice?

Honda 1.5 16valve just want to take off a little bitt heard its possible what do you think

No. You need an exact, clearly defined end result in mind for something like that. Because it goes much further than the shaft itself: it will change the characteristics and balance of the engine, and that is something you just cannot predict without decades of experience. Just spring for a different one.

This takes precise work! The wear surface on the camshaft also has a special heat treat condition.

So even if you can do the precise work- getting the wear surface to the right hardness will be difficult for most of us.

Now I have known a few weekend warriors that have done this- but they have to replace camshafts and lifters every month. If you can afford to tear the engine down to put a new cam in that often, give it a try. But it will prove more expensive then finding a performance cam that will do the same job and last longer.

Some auto machine shops can grind a cam and heat treat it for you- at least go that way.
